In 2010, the former Factory Records headquarters FAC 251 was reopened as a nightclub and venue in collaboration with Aaron Mellor of Tokyo Industries and Peter Hook (formerly of New Order). BKD had originally remodeled the building as the HQ for Factory Records in 1990. In 2009, after the building had been empty for a number of years, Mellor and Hook took on the lease and commissioned BKD to transform the building into a venue suitable to carry on the legacy of the Haçienda. A series of new spaces were developed and rebuilt, and additional design elements such as neon and cut-out panels were added, reworking references to the original Factory back catalogue.
