A reconstruction of the Haçienda has been built - this time as a digital venue for users to experience the past, present and future of music & art.
Developed by Brendan Mannion & Justin Metz with Ben Kelly's original drawings, The Haçienda VR is a mixed reality mobile platform that enables a global audience to tune in to live streaming events featuring renowned and upcoming DJs, Musicians & Artists. The platform will allow users to curate their own events, play their own music, control the lighting, show moving images on the two large screens, develop their own avatar and meet other people’s avatars in the club. To dance, dance, dance.
People who never attended the original club will be able to create their own experiences within the virtual Haçienda. People who did can relive the iconic venue in the digital age.
