MORE INFORMATION

Between 1999 and 2002, BKD created a series of unique designs for the hugely popular international interiors show 100% Design. It was essential that spaces such as the registration desk, bar, restaurant, press office and seating areas could be easily identified by visitors and that they stood out from other similar events. Every year BKD showcased a selection of the best contemporary furniture and lighting in these areas, while taking a very different design approach to the spaces. 1999 featured constructions made from oil drums and abstract graphics; while a floating ‘100’ light sculpture suspended over the exhibition (and mirrored in a graphic carpet) took centre stage in 2000’s show. 2001's design comprised of large projection screens featuring a series of suspended chairs, while partitions and the main central bar constructed from timber off-cuts and high-visibility black and yellow stripes were the focal point for 2002’s event.
